The Lincoln Police Department is a department that has become the premiere place to work in Placer County. The department and city has made a name for itself for its growth potential, innovation, and affordable living. From our fleet of Dodge Chargers on the street, to our state of the art dispatch system by Sun Ridge Systems in the station, we continuously research and implement the newest and most effective pieces of technology available.
We have recently implemented, or are in the process of implementing mobile surveillance units, automatic license plate readers, online citizen crime reporting, satellite GPS maps in dispatch and patrol units, and a vast array of other items.
With a population of almost 40,000, as of August 6, 2007, Fobes.com listed Lincoln as the nation's fastest growing city from 2000 to 2006 with an increase of 238.6% in population. We were also named an All America City in 2006. The city is still affordable to live and thrive in, with new schools and businesses being built continuously.
